About The Role
Limina AI is building an intelligent platform that helps organizations make sense of their data in ways that are fast, accurate, and scalable. Having established a strong foundation with our developer-facing API, we are now expanding into a full user- intuitive product experience and are hiring a Product Designer to be the first dedicated design voice on our product team. This is a full-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds from zero, and knows how to take a technically powerful product and make it feel effortless for the people who actually use it.
We're looking for someone who can own the entire design function, from standing up a design system from scratch to conducting user research, shipping polished interfaces, and shaping how the product evolves as we expand beyond our API roots into a full user-facing platform. You'll sit at the intersection of compliance, data intelligence, and user experience, translating complex technical behavior into something lawyers, compliance officers, and business users can pick up and run with.
This role is ideal for a designer with experience in technically complex or data-heavy products who wants real ownership at a company building in a space where the large incumbents.
What You'll Do
You're coming in at the beginning. The design system, the research practice, the UX language of this product, it all gets built by you. If you're the kind of designer who gets energy from defining what doesn't exist yet and seeing it ship, this is the right place to do that.
Compensation Range: CA$90K - CA$140K

What You'll Do

- Conduct user research and usability testing with non-technical end users, synthesizing findings into clear design decisions
- Translate technically complex product behavior into intuitive, human-centered interfaces
- Create user flows, wireframes, and polished UI designs for web and product surfaces
- Partner with engineers throughout development, providing design direction and reviewing implementation
- Advocate for the user in product discussions, articulating design decisions with clarity and backing them up with evidence
- Run design sprints and ideation sessions to move quickly on new product bets
- Shape how we expand into analytics and new user-facing surfaces as the product grows
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership and thoughtful problem-solving
- Strong UX fundamentals: interaction design, visual design, information architecture, accessibility
- Experience designing for complex, data-heavy or technical products and translating them for non-technical users
- Ability to conduct and synthesize user research and usability testing, and to advocate for design decisions grounded in evidence
- Comfort working in ambiguity on an early-stage team where the process is still being defined
- Proficiency in Figma
- A degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience
