Digital Content & Communications Coordinator

NEON
United States · Full-time · Entry

About The Role

We make films we care about.

We're looking for someone who feels the same.

We're seeking a highly organized and creative Digital Content & Communications Coordinator to support our slate of films and digital presence. This role sits at the intersection of film culture and internet culture. Someone who understands both, and knows how to translate that into work that people actually want to watch, save, and share.

You'll support how our films exist outside the screen: online, in feeds, in moments around releases. You will assist in producing video and social content, help manage day-to-day communications across platforms, and support digital campaigns that promote our films, talent, and brand. Some days that means pulling selects from a cut. Some days it's capturing something on set. Some days it's posting something simple that just feels right.

Working closely with the marketing and production teams, you'll play a key role in bringing our creative vision to audiences. The pace can shift quickly. The work should always feel considered.

This position reports to the Head of Marketing/Communications and collaborates across departments. Some evening/weekend work may be required during premieres, festivals, and releases.

This is an entry-level posiiton, and is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about storytelling, social media, and independent film.

What You'll Do

  • Help Run Our Social Presence
    • Schedule and post across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond
    • Keep a pulse on trends, references, and what's actually working right now
  • Make Stuff (Especially Video)
    • Shoot and edit short-form content: behind-the-scenes, talent moments, quick edits, lo-fi promos
    • Jump on ideas quickly and turn them into something watchable the same day
  • Support Campaigns
    • Assist with digital rollouts for film releases, trailers, and announcements
    • Keep content calendars organized and moving
  • Creative Support
    • Help pull together graphics, flyers, and digital assets (or find someone who can)
    • Support internal requests without losing the creative thread
  • Be There When It's Happening
    • Capture photo/video at premieres, festivals, screenings, and on set
    • Live post when it makes sense—without overthinking it
  • Write + Edit
    • Draft captions, website updates, and occasional longer-form content
    • Help keep our voice consistent (but never boring)
  • Help Our Work Travel
    • Put together simple toolkits for collaborators, press, and partners
    • Make it easy for people to share our films in a way that feels right
Compensation:

This position has a target annual pay range of $68,000 per annum. Compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, and internal equity.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the NYC or LA office a minimum of three days per week.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience (or scrappy, real-world equivalents) in content, social, or film/media
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • Organized, reliable, and good at juggling multiple things without dropping them
  • Strong analytical and organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to fact-check and synthesize information
  • You actually watch movies, and not just what's trending
  • You understand internet culture without trying too hard
  • Comfortable shooting/editing video (Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut - whatever works)
  • Strong instincts for what feels cool, interesting, or worth posting
  • Down to both take direction and run with something independently
  • Experience creating original content and engagement on all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, especially video content
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters and excellent judgment

Bonus if you:

  • Take photos you're proud of
