About The Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Scrum Master to join us.

The Scrum Master (SM) is responsible for day-to-day Agile execution, team facilitation, backlog health, delivery flow, and audit-ready traceability. This role ensures the delivery team operates efficiently and predictably while maintaining Azure DevOps (ADO) as the authoritative system of work execution and evidence.

The Scrum Master enables high-quality delivery by removing impediments, enforcing Agile discipline, and ensuring all work is fully traceable from strategic objectives through production release.

Duties And Responsibilities

Azure DevOps Configuration & Execution

  • Configure and maintain ADO project structures, including epics, features, user stories, tasks, states, and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain audit-ready traceability chains (Epics → Features → Stories → Tasks → PRs → Pipelines → Releases)
  • Ensure compliance with Definition of Done requirements, including testing evidence, documentation updates, and product owner approvals
  • Maintain live ADO dashboards and reports, including burndown, velocity, throughput, flow efficiency, and capacity tracking

Sprint & Ceremony Facilitation

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Produce sprint-level artifacts such as sprint goals, capacity forecasts, review notes, and retrospective action plans
  • Track and escalate delivery risks and impediments impacting sprint goals

Backlog, Quality & Flow Management

  • Maintain backlog health, including readiness, aging, estimation stability, and story quality metrics
  • Lead backlog refinement, ensuring stories incorporate architectural, data, security, and governance requirements
  • Monitor delivery flow and identify systemic bottlenecks affecting predictability and quality

Impediment & Cross-Team Coordination

  • Maintain a structured impediment log, categorized by type, severity, and resolution status
  • Coordinate closely with architecture, data, security, infrastructure, and governance teams to resolve blockers
  • Escalate unresolved impediments through defined State escalation paths

Release & DevOps Alignment

  • Produce release notes, tracking versions, included stories, pipelines executed, validation status, and known issues
  • Ensure pipeline-to-work-item traceability and production readiness checklist compliance
  • Support coordinated production releases aligned with PM-managed milestones

Coaching & Agile Maturity

  • Conduct team maturity assessments, covering predictability, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement readiness
  • Develop and track improvement roadmaps to strengthen Agile execution over time

Qualifications

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Scrum Master certification (required)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps in regulated or audit-sensitive environments
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery, DevOps integration, and value-stream management
  • Proven ability to produce audit-ready Agile artifacts and delivery evidence
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and cross-team coordination skills
