Glocomms is partnered with a leading accounting firm seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support and secure a modern enterprise IT environment in a remote or hybrid setting. This role is responsible for designing reliable network infrastructure, implementing security controls, monitoring network performance, and supporting incident response across IT operations. The position plays a key role in ensuring infrastructure stability, security, and long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support network security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and remediate network issues to maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and resolution of network and security incidents.
  • Perform regular network device upgrades, patch management, and security patching across systems and infrastructure.
  • Administer virtualized environments, including VMware platforms and associated storage systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including SOPs, configuration documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and processes to improve network efficiency, security, and overall productivity.
  • Collaborate with IT operations and cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and continuous service availability.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and enterprise networking environments.
  • Strong expertise in network protocols, infrastructure design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Proven experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and network security enforcement.
  • Experience in network monitoring, performance optimization, and issue remediation.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, and/or PCNSE are strongly preferred.
