Network Administrator

Job Title: Network Lab Administrator

Location: Santa Clara, CA (5 days onsite) Local candidates only with Driving Licenses

Job Type: 6 Months contract

Rate : $42-$45/hr. on W2

Job Description:

• Looking for someone who is networking savvy
• Good understanding of how to troubleshoot networks
• Able to configure devices
• Required knowledge - BGP, MCLAG, OSPF, SSH - understanding networking protocols and layers, able to troubleshoot networking issues
• Will need to be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Rack mount servers, firewalls, other equipment that might weigh 50 lbs. (have lifts in the lab that would help)
• Associate’s Degree at minimum required
• Ideal years of experience - about 3 years of work experience in addition to degree if they are good

Pluses:

• CCNA would be nice
• Some Linux experience would be a plus
• Background in a lab environment is a plus
• Windows/VMware are pluses
• Prefer someone who has worked in a lab environment

Day-to-Day:

• In the beginning, configure and take care of all the new equipment that is currently in the lab
• Then, will be working on tickets, ensure SLA for response time is met, take care of customers

Some rack-and-stack, cabling, firewalls, devices, write documentation
