We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed professional services platform to appoint an M&A Director as part of an ambitious buy-and-build strategy.
Backed by a leading mid-market investor, the business has scaled rapidly through a combination of organic growth and a highly successful acquisition programme, completing multiple transactions to date. Operating in a large and fragmented UK market, the platform is well positioned for continued consolidation and long-term value creation.
This is a hands-on, in-house role working closely with the C-suite, focused on supporting origination, executing and integrating acquisitions that align with the group’s strategic objectives.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering the M&A strategy, with a strong emphasis on deal execution and integration:
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities introduced by senior leadership
- Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis and investment materials
- Manage transactions end-to-end, coordinating internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Support diligence across financial, legal, tax, commercial and operational workstreams
- Assist with negotiation, structuring and successful deal completion
- Run multiple live processes concurrently, maintaining pace and discipline
- Support post-merger integration and track delivery against investment cases
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years’ experience across Transaction Services, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or similar
- Ideally 2–5 years’ experience in an in-house M&A / Corporate Development environment
- Strong track record of supporting or leading deals end-to-end
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and process management skills
- Hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership and investors
- Experience across services
