Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare develops and produces diagnostic high-end ultrasound systems and ultrasound probes for worldwide use at its site in Zipf, Upper Austria.

To support our hardware development team, we are looking for a One-month summer intern for hands-on support in hardware prototype assembly, testing, and recycling.

Job Description

This summer position is designed to support the Hardware Engineering Department throughout the lifecycle of hardware prototypes. The role provides hands-on experience with real engineering workflows and contributes directly to the development and management of prototype systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly and configuration of hardware prototypes
• Support documentation of prototype builds, changes, and test results
• Help perform testing and validation of hardware systems
• Participate in upgrading and modifying existing prototypes
• Assist with dismantling, recycling, and proper disposal of prototype components
• Support general laboratory and workshop activities as needed

Ideal Candidate

• Interest in hardware engineering or related technical fields
• Hands-on mindset and willingness to learn
• Basic technical or mechanical aptitude is a plus
