Job Description

We are interacting closely with the hardware team and contribute to the development of the driver stack to access this HW. We are also responsible for the development and test of equipment management functions (pluggable boards, power source units, temperature sensors, fan control. …).. We are working in an agile manner.

As a team we also possess a deep understanding of the end-to-end functionality of our products, as our deliverables are gating for other SW application teams. The team consists of a mix of SW development and test engineers.

You’ll get ample opportunity to get acquainted with the organization, our way of working and products. During this training period, the team will support you with specific on-hands / on-the-job training. Next to that, you will have a wide variety of high-quality on-line training material at your disposal. Additionally, we make time to support each other when facing a next challenge and to celebrate achievements.

The goal is to bring our product innovations and evolutions to the market faster and at higher quality than the competition as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team of senior experts and supported by state-of-the-art development and test technologies, tools and processes.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

As part of our team, you will:

  • Understand new features, use cases and reflect on possible failure scenarios to improve architecture at the start of development
  • Define and discuss test plans for new features including corners case, defining stress test, ..
  • Contribute to building test setups, test execution, bug reproduction and test automation (robot framework)
  • Think with the team on how to improve the overall test scope/infrastructure of the equipment domain
  • By investigating issues, you will get familiar with the software, this will open the opportunity to also actively contribute on bug fixing and even implementation of features.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Engineering degree or a degree in Computer Science/ Telecommunications/Electronic (or 5 years of experience)
  • Experience with SW development
  • Knowledge of C or C++ programs
  • Experience with working in a Linux environment
  • Knowledge on Phyton scripting
  • Eagerness and agility to learn fast and be challenged on a daily basis
  • Passion in handling complex systems and projects
  • Critical and pragmatic mind
  • “out-of-the-box” thinking
  • Fluently in English
