Château Beaumont welcomes mainly French children to its Château in the western part of France during February half-term, over the Easter and Summer holidays and during the October half-term. Established for 16 years, we work with UK and French schools during term-time and individuals during the holiday periods. We promote cultural exchange through fun language lessons and exciting activities, trying to push language as a life skill and tool rather than as an academic subject for examination.

Job Summary

Details of Position

We are looking for English language teachers used to working with children. Château Beaumont welcomes French schools to its centre in the Mayenne department of France and is seeking two TEFL teachers to deliver fun lessons throughout April, to join in with UK schools in May, June and July, then teach again on our Summer Camps at the end of July. We would also consider applications from people who would prefer a freelance approach or short contracts to only work with the French children in April and July. Accommodation and all meals are provided. An immediate start is available for the right candidates. You must be able to work in the EU already; ideally you'll be already here in France.

We are registered with the Academy of Nantes and the local department of Youth, Popular Education and Sports. We have a strong track record over the past 28 years. Our lessons must be fun, aimed at 8 - 13 year olds and are delivered on site. Our activity team delivers sports activities on site during the afternoons, then entertainments in the evening. UK schools visit us, too, and combine activities with excursions to places of local interest. We are a fun, kind place to work and look for people with a real passion for bringing languages and culture to life in the midst of our Franco- and Anglophone team.

Salary and Benefits

12.16 / hour, all meals and accommodation included. 35hr / wk contract available (France) but will accept part time hours if you only want to teach (22 hrs)
