Business Analyst

Position Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join CGI team. In this role, you will act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, documented, and translated into effective technology solutions. You will contribute to the delivery of reliable systems, process improvements, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Translate business needs into clear specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, QA specialists, and other IT team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support solution design by evaluating options, identifying risks, and recommending practical approaches aligned with business goals.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure traceability of requirements from initial request through implementation and post-release validation.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and alignment.
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation standards within the IT function.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Minimum four years of experience as a Business Analyst within IT or technology-driven projects.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar collaboration platforms.
• Solid analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
