About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at NorthBay Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support our clients' data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and workflows to support large-scale data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Implement data quality and security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain and monitor data infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary updates and enhancements.
• Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new data technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performance.
• Document data processes, workflows, and architecture to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Assist in the migration of data systems to cloud environments and optimize cloud-based data solutions.
