ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer for a secure government entity in the UAE. The role requires hands-on implementation, maintenance, and L3 troubleshooting of enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage, backup, virtualization, and disaster recovery solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure (Dell PowerEdge, VxRail, HPE ProLiant)
• Manage storage platforms including Dell PowerVault, PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerMax, HPE, and Pure Storage (SAN/NAS)
• Administer backup solutions (Veeam, CommVault, Dell Data Protection)
• Deploy and support VMware environments (vSphere, VCF, vSAN, NSX)
• Maintain secondary virtualization platforms (Nutanix, Hyper-V)
• Manage disaster recovery solutions (Zerto, VMware SRM)
• Provide L3 technical support for critical infrastructure issues
• Apply ITIL best practices and security standards
• Create technical documentation and maintain configuration records
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• 7-10 years in enterprise IT infrastructure
• Proven L3 troubleshooting experience across all listed technologies
• Experience in secure or regulated environments

Storage:

• Dell: PowerVault, PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerMax
• HPE storage arrays
• Pure Storage
• SAN/NAS protocols

Backup:

• Veeam Backup & Replication
• CommVault
• Dell Data Protection

Virtualization (Primary):

• VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• VMware vSAN
• VMware NSX

Virtualization (Secondary):

• Nutanix
• Microsoft Hyper-V

Disaster Recovery:

• Zerto
• VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)

Additional:

• ITIL framework
• Security hardening and compliance
• Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Windows/Linux administration

Certifications (Minimum 2 Required)
