Job Summary

Cogency Inc. is seeking experienced .NET Full Stack Developers with strong expertise in C#, .NET technologies, and modern frontend frameworks. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications, with a strong focus on performance optimization and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using .NET technologies and React
• Develop robust backend solutions using C#, .NET, WCF services, and Entity Framework
• Build and enhance user interfaces using React and modern frontend practices
• Optimize and tune SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database performance
• Work on WPF applications for desktop-based solutions where required
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WCF services and distributed systems
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET development
• Expertise in:
• WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
• WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) – design & troubleshooting
• Entity Framework – performance tuning and optimization
• Strong experience with SQL Server (query optimization, indexing, stored procedures)
• Experience with React.js for frontend development
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of modern UI/UX practices

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Work Model

• Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in Toronto
