Network Engineer

🧾 Job Summary

We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of enterprise networks.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🛠️ Network Setup & Configuration

• Configure and install network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Implement LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, and subnetting

📡 Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor network performance and uptime
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades
• Use tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios

🧩 Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve network issues (L1–L3)
• Support users with connectivity problems
• Work with ISPs/vendors to resolve outages

🔐 Security

• Configure firewalls and access control lists (ACLs)
• Implement network security best practices
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and threats

📋 Documentation

• Maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Create SOPs and incident reports

🎓 Required Qualifications

✔️ Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

✔️ Experience

• Entry Level: 0–2 years (internships count)
• Mid Level: 3–5 years in networking roles

✔️ Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP – basic to intermediate)
• Switching (VLANs, STP)
• Hands-on with:
• Cisco / Juniper / Arista devices
• Familiarity with:
• Network monitoring tools
• Linux/Windows systems

⭐ Preferred Certifications

• CCNA (highly preferred for entry level)
• CCNP (for mid-level roles)
• CompTIA Network+
• Security+ (for security-focused roles)
• Cloud Network Engineer
• Network Security Engineer
