Information Technology Manager

The IT Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, operation, and security of all information technology systems, infrastructure, and digital services at the property, ensuring the seamless delivery of technology-driven guest experiences and efficient hotel operations. The role serves as the primary technology business partner to the General Manager and the Executive Committee, safeguards the integrity and availability of critical hospitality systems, and ensures full alignment with Modon Hospitality IT standards, brand technology requirements, cybersecurity policies, and applicable UAE laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in an IT Manager or senior IT leadership role within a 4- or 5-star hotel, luxury resort, or multi-property hospitality environment.
• Proven experience supporting international hotel brands and their brand technology standards.
• Deep hands-on expertise with hospitality applications such as Opera / Opera Cloud PMS, Micros Simphony / Infrasys POS, Sales & Catering, revenue management and channel management tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, Windows Server, virtualisation, backup solutions, enterprise networking (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet or equivalent), Wi-Fi, firewalls, VoIP and structured cabling.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, PCI-DSS, ISO/IEC 27001 principles, and UAE data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
• Demonstrated experience managing IT budgets, vendor contracts, audits and multi-stakeholder projects.
• Relevant professional certifications are strongly preferred, such as ITIL, PMP / PRINCE2, CCNA / CCNP, Microsoft certifications, CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+.
• Prior pre-opening or renovation project experience is a distinct advantage.
• Previous experience in the UAE or wider GCC hospitality market is highly desirable.
