Our technology team is growing fast, shipping new features across a Next.js web platform, React Native mobile apps (iOS & Android), and a NestJS microservices backend. Quality is not an afterthought here; it is a core part of how we ship.

Role Overview

We are looking for a mid-level QA Specialist who can operate across the full testing spectrum, from hands-on manual exploratory testing to building and maintaining automated test suites. You will be embedded within our product and engineering squads, responsible for ensuring that every release across web, mobile, and API meets the highest quality bar before it reaches our users.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for new features and bug fixes across web, mobile, and API.
• Perform exploratory, regression, functional, and UAT testing across all platforms before each release.
• Test responsive web behavior across browsers and devices; validate iOS and Android app builds via TestFlight and Google Play internal testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, severity ratings, and supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, videos).
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and catch gaps before development begins.
• Validate fixes and perform sign-off testing to confirm defect resolution.

Test Automation

• Build, maintain, and expand automated test suites covering critical user flows across web and mobile.
• Write automation scripts for end-to-end, regression, and smoke test coverage using industry-standard frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable automated testing on every deployment.
• Monitor test results, triage failures, and ensure the test suite stays healthy and trustworthy.
• Identify which test cases deliver the highest ROI for automation and prioritize accordingly.

API Testing

• Test REST APIs across all backend microservices, validating request/response schemas, status codes, error handling, and edge cases.
• Write and maintain automated API test collections covering happy paths, failure scenarios, and boundary conditions.
• Verify data integrity between frontend interfaces and backend services.
• Test authentication flows, rate limiting, and permission-based access controls at the API layer.

Quality Process & Reporting

• Maintain a structured test repository, organized, versioned, and accessible to the entire team.
• Produce clear QA reports per sprint: test coverage, pass/fail rates, open defects, and release readiness assessments.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning, reviews, and retrospectives, as the quality voice in the room.
• Proactively flag quality risks before they become production incidents.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and team practices over time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB certification is a plus .
• 3–6 years of hands-on QA experience covering both manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience writing test cases, test plans, and bug reports, clear, structured, and actionable.
• Hands-on automation experience with at least one framework (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent).
• Solid API testing experience using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Mobile testing experience on both iOS and Android, including device farm or emulator-based testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into automated build processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with sprint-based delivery cycles.
• Strong attention to detail and an instinct for breaking things before users do.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience testing classifieds, marketplace, or e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with performance or load testing (k6, JMeter, or similar).
• Basic understanding of React Native or Next.js to better communicate with developers.
• Exposure to accessibility testing standards (WCAG).
• Arabic language skills are a plus.
