Job Purpose:

The Job holder is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operation, including but not limited to processing, safekeeping and settlement operations, and administration of clients’ securities and financial assets. The role ensures that transactions are processed correctly and assets are protected.


Job Responsibilities:

1.Securities Settlement:

  • Process and monitor settlement of trades (equities, bonds, funds, etc.);
  • Ensure transactions settle accurately and on time;


2.Asset Safekeeping:

  • Administer new account opening;
  • Maintain records of client securities held in custody;
  • Reconcile holdings with custodians and depositories;
  • Produce essential regulatory and client reporting;
  • Onboard new counterparties;
  • Maintain electronic and physical documentation archive;


3.Corporate Actions Processing:

  • Handle events such as dividends, interest payments, stock splits, and mergers;
  • Notify clients and process their instructions;


4.Cash & Securities Reconciliation:

  • Perform daily reconciliations between internal systems and custodians;
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies;


5. Client Servicing:

  • Respond to client queries regarding holdings, settlements, and corporate actions;
  • Provide reports on portfolio holdings and transactions;


6.Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all custody operations follow regulatory and internal compliance requirements;
  • Fulfil KYC procedure in relation to trade counterparties;


7. Technology & Process Improvement

  • Participate in the development of accounting system: preparation of functional requirements for IT department and testing.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in related field will be a plus.


Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Investment Management, banking field.


Key Skills:

  • Sound Experience in international settlement (including but not limited to Euroclear, Clearstream, NSD, DTC, Hong Kong and etc.);
  • Sound Experience in trust management processes;
  • Sound knowledge of corporate actions;
  • Analytical skills for performing investigations;
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
  • Advanced English level;
  • The employee must be experienced in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, back office accounting systems, and bank/custody online systems.
