About the Role

We are seeking a Java with Kotlin Developer with 5–7 years of experience in backend development using modern Java frameworks. The role involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend systems using Microservices architecture, Spring, and Spring Boot, along with leveraging Kotlin to enhance development efficiency and code quality.

Job Title: Java & Kotlin Developer (Microservices | Spring Boot)

Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week)

Employment Type: FTC / Permanent

Experience Required: 5–7 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Design and implement scalable microservices-based architectures
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Utilize Kotlin alongside Java for backend development where applicable
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, business analysts, and QA
• Participate in full SDLC: requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and responsiveness
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and work closely with DevOps teams
• Engage in peer code reviews to ensure high code quality standards
• Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge within the team
• Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and industry trends
