The Global Product Manager “Marine Handling Solutions” reports to the Head of Global Product Management and is responsible for the product groups Offshore Cranes, Winches and Handling Equipment. The Marine Product Management department also includes Teams for Marine Cranes, Offshore Wind Cranes, Boats and Davits.
Responsibilities:
- Translate the Business Strategy into a Product Strategy
- Supporting the Portfolio- and Roadmap planning
- Competitive Analysis and Market Intelligence for Offshore Cranes, Deck Winches- & Handling Equipment
- Requirements Gathering
- Initiation and execution of product development projects
- Support of Market Launch Planning & Execution
- Inbound- as well as Outbound activities
- Provide insights for competitive Price Positioning
- Initiate and lead Cost-Out Initiatives
- Continuous Life Cycle Management
We think you should have:
- Rich knowledge about the Maritime-, O&G- or Offshore-Renewable Industry
- Understanding of the customer application, their value creation processes, and required outcomes.
- Strong expertise in the application of state-of-the-art product management tools and methods
- Experience in the analysis and evaluation of product structure and its build in complexity.
- Experience in the execution of complex product development projects with a phase gate or agile process.
- Knowledge about requirement gathering and requirement management processes.
- Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Extensive experience (> 5 years) in technical complex machinery (preferably cranes or deck machinery)
- Technical university degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical academic education
- High level of interpersonal skills combined with flexible personal communication style
- Business fluent in English and strong negotiation skills in international business environment
- Ready for business travel when needed (ca. 10-15%)
