Fortinet Network Engineer

About the Role

Join as a Fortinet Network Engineer within a Cyber Security & Connectivity team. You’ll design, deploy, and operate secure network infrastructures for clients, working on impactful projects in a collaborative environment.

This is a hands-on role combining project delivery and operational support, where you’ll take ownership of both building new solutions and maintaining critical environments. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients, contributing directly to the performance, security, and reliability of their networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures (Fortinet: FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, etc.)
• Manage and maintain infrastructures (firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, HA clusters), ensuring high availability
• Provide N2/N3 support and handle complex incidents in collaboration with the NOC team
• Monitor, analyse, and optimise performance using logs, metrics, and QoS tuning
• Implement and maintain security policies (segmentation, IPS/IDS, compliance such as NIS2)
• Contribute to key projects (SD-WAN deployments, NAC, OT/IT segmentation, VoIP, migrations)
• Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Proactively identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements or innovations
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and occasional out-of-hours interventions during critical changes

equirements

• 3+ years’ experience in network & security engineering, ideally with strong exposure to Fortinet
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, TCP/UDP, routing, VLAN, DNS, QoS)
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), SD-WAN, and high-availability environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyse logs to resolve complex issues
• Knowledge of scripting/automation (Python, Ansible) to improve efficiency
• Comfortable working in critical, high-availability, 24/7 environments
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with teams and stakeholders
• Fluent French and professional-level English required

Nice to Have

• Fortinet certifications (NSE4–NSE7) or willingness to obtain them
• Experience with other vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba)
• Knowledge of cloud and virtualised environments (Azure, AWS, VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, ISO 27001, and DevOps practices
• Exposure to VoIP environments or industrial/OT cybersecurity (IEC 62443, segmentation)
