As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll architect and build the systems that power our products: event-driven services, stateful workflows, distributed components, and cloud-native pipelines. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong engineering judgment, and uncompromising quality standards. 🧠🛠️☁️

🧩 What You'll Do

• Architect and implement real-time, high-throughput backend services powering web products, embedded client integrations, back-office systems, and internal web applications. ⚡
• Build scalable backend services, stateful workflows, and business-critical platform logic in Node.js/TypeScript. 🏗️
• Design event-driven systems using WebSockets, message buses, PubSub, and streaming pipelines. 🔄
• Own backend performance: latency reduction, throughput scaling, memory optimization, and concurrency control. 📈
• Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Designers, Product teams, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into robust backend logic. 🤝
• Build CI/CD pipelines, monitoring dashboards, and observability tooling for production-grade reliability. 🧪📊
• Solve complex distributed system problems including race conditions, ordering guarantees, idempotency, and consistency. 🔍
• Push the boundaries of serverless and microservice architectures within AWS. ☁️🚀
• Contribute to architectural decision-making across the company. 🧭

🛠️ Tech Stack

• Core Backend: Node.js (TypeScript), Fastify/Express, custom backend frameworks and domain services
• AWS Cloud: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis/ElastiCache, S3, Step Functions, Kinesis
• Communication: WebSockets, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, PubSub
• Data & Observability: CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, DataDog
• DevOps: GitHub Actions, Docker, CDK/Terraform, GitOps workflows
• Architecture: Event-driven systems, distributed transactions, serverless, and microservices

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience in production-grade, high-scale systems
• Strong command of Node.js/TypeScript and cloud-native API design
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, event-driven architectures, and real-time workloads
• Experience building stateful platforms, workflow-driven systems, or services with strict consistency requirements
• Strong knowledge of modern databases:
• SQL (PostgreSQL)
• NoSQL (DynamoDB)
• Caching (Redis)
• Streams and time-series systems (Kinesis, Kafka)
• Ability to profile and optimize CPU, memory, I/O, and cold-start behavior in serverless environments ⚙️
• Experience with high-traffic systems handling very large request volumes
• Strong engineering instincts including error budgets, idempotency, retries, exponential backoff, and chaos testing 🧠
• Inventive mindset with a constant drive to explore better architectures, patterns, and technologies 💡
• Bonus: Experience with mathematics-heavy systems, simulations, or real-time transactional platforms
