This role will be responsible for delivering projects across the full lifecycle—from initiation through to testing and implementation. The position offers exposure to a broad range of business operations, systems, and technology processes.
This is a key role within a rapidly expanding Change team, requiring a self-motivated and independent individual who can contribute to the successful delivery of organisational initiatives. The successful candidate may manage multiple projects concurrently while also supporting other project workstreams.
The role involves close collaboration with international teams, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective delivery across all phases of project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects and associated milestones end-to-end, ensuring delivery aligns with defined scope, budget, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, coordinating with business and technical stakeholders throughout all phases of delivery.
- Take full ownership of project outcomes, ensuring successful delivery within agreed parameters and governance standards.
- Define project scope and objectives, engaging relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements and support the development of business cases in collaboration with project sponsors.
- Adhere to established project management methodologies and delivery frameworks.
- Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders, including progress updates, risk escalation, and decision support.
- Maintain key project documentation, including plans, scope documents, RAID logs, status reports, and closure reports.
- Monitor and control project performance, proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ project management experience, ideally within financial services (e.g., consumer finance, retail banking, insurance, or fintech).
- Formal project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2) is preferred.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
- Capable of managing multiple projects, balancing tactical and strategic priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse teams and seniority levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Industry knowledge in financial services is advantageous.
- Technical awareness (e.g., application architecture, systems implementation) is beneficial and will support effectiveness on technically complex projects.
