The role

We are looking for an (Associate) Product Manager to join our engineering team and help shape the product that is redefining financial services for European SMEs. This is an early and high-leverage role: you will work alongside our VP of Product & VP of Engineering and directly with the CEO to translate customer problems into exceptional product experiences  spanning AI-powered accounting workflows, embedded banking, invoicing, payroll and tax.

This role is for someone who is analytically sharp, deeply curious about financial services & AI, and ready to move fast without losing precision.

What this role is not

Your job is going to be everything but easy or straight-lined. You will be required to context switch, think for yourself, problem-solve and sometimes work more than the required hours to get high-priority projects over the line. What impact you will have

Own the discovery, definition and delivery of features across Neno's core product surface

• Be the voice of the customer inside the engineering team grounding every sprint in customer user pain.
• Drive a data-led product process: from hypothesis to experiment to measurement.
• Work with our chartered accountants and AI engineers to shape AI-powered workflows that genuinely change how SMEs run their finances.
• Maintain tight alignment between product roadmap, commercial priorities and investor milestones.

Responsibilities

Product Discovery & Definition

• Conduct continuous discovery via customer interviews and data analysis to identify the highest-value problems to solve
• Write clear, precise PRDs that engineering can execute against without ambiguity
• Prioritise ruthlessly within a fast-moving roadmap and communicate trade-offs clearly.

Delivery & Execution

• Track delivery against milestones and surface blockers early.
• QA features against spec before they ship, you set the bar.

AI-Native Product Thinking

• Use AI tools (e.g., Claude) daily for research synthesis, spec drafting, data analysis and workflow design.
• Actively explore how AI can be embedded deeper into Neno's product to improve automation rates.
• Champion the AI-native product philosophy internally and with customers.

Commercial Alignment

• Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to understand friction points in onboarding, activation and retention
• Translate commercial insights into product improvements and measure their impact

What we're looking for

Experience

• 2+ years as a product manager, or 3+ years in a product-adjacent role: think product marketing, product operations or consulting at a product-led business – ideally high-growth SaaS or FinTech. 
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in an agile environment.
• Exposure to AI/ML products or a strong desire to work deeply in this space.
• Background in financial services or accounting is a strong plus..

Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills: both quantitative and qualitative
• Excellent written communication, your specs are clear, your stakeholder updates are crisp
• Ability to context-switch between technical, commercial and user-facing conversations
• Experience with product discovery: you have an opinion on Marty Cagan’s Inspired or Teresa Torres’ Continuous Discovery

• You use AI tools as part of your daily workflow, not as a novelty
• You are precise and detail-oriented: you catch what others miss
• You are humble enough to do the unglamorous work and confident enough to challenge assumptions
• You want to grow into a Senior PM or Head of Product as neno scales
