Cloud Engineer (AWS, Windows & Linux)- upto $9k

Overview

Support and operate Windows and Linux workloads on AWS across UAT and Production, focusing on daily operations, troubleshooting, and maintaining a secure, stable cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu)
• Perform troubleshooting, service restarts, performance monitoring, and log analysis
• Manage core services:
• Windows: AD, DNS, GPO, WSUS
• Linux: systemd, cron, filesystem, package management (yum/apt)
• Handle incidents, problems, and service requests via ITSM tools
• Support AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, Systems Manager (SSM), CloudWatch
• Perform instance provisioning, validation, start/stop, resizing, snapshots, and recovery
• Ensure operational readiness for UAT and Production environments
• Support networking components: VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups
• Troubleshoot connectivity, firewall, and load balancer (NLB) issues
• Work with network teams to validate connectivity and perform testing
• Support security and compliance: CIS hardening, vulnerability remediation, IAM roles
• Assist with endpoint protection tools and audit/compliance activities
• Perform OS patching using WSUS, SCCM, yum, apt, and SSM Patch Manager
• Use PowerShell, Bash, and AWS CLI for automation and remediation
• Participate in maintenance windows and on-call rotations
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles
• Support transition from project delivery to steady-state operations

Requirements:

• 5+ years hands on experience in Windows/Linux OS support
• 2+ years supporting workloads on AWS.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environment
• Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
• Linux administration (RHEL / Amazon Linux / Ubuntu)
• AWS: EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, Systems Manager (SSM), CloudWatch
• Networking fundamentals: VPCs, security groups, routing, load balancers (NLB)
• Scripting: PowerShell and Bash
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management
• Good communication and teamwork
• Process-driven with attention to documentation
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator- Associate
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate
• Microsoft Windows Server / Hybrid Administrator certification
• Linux certification (RHCSA or equivalent)
• ITIL Foundation (v3/v4)
