About the Role

We're looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to provide senior technical leadership on a small, high-impact team. You'll lead the architecture and evolution of a Kubernetes-based internal platform, build developer-facing tooling and automation, and shape how engineers across the organisation build, deploy, and run their services.

This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll be setting platform strategy one day and writing code the next.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimisation of a Kubernetes-based internal developer platform
• Build and own developer-facing CLI tools, APIs, and automation that improve deployment, observability, and day-to-day workflows
• Partner with engineering teams to understand pain points and translate them into platform capabilities
• Define and champion platform standards, best practices, and modern engineering patterns across the wider organisation
• Mentor and coach engineers, contributing to both roadmap strategy and hands-on delivery

What You'll Bring

• Strong software engineering fundamentals (Golang experience highly regarded!)
• Deep Kubernetes knowledge including operators, controllers, and developer tooling
• Terraform and Helm, with solid GitOps and CI/CD experience
• Experience building self-service developer platforms at enterprise scale
• Proven technical leadership across multi-team or multi-tenant environments
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine developer-first mindset
