Data Scientist

Sydney or Melbourne - hybrid model

We’re partnering with a leading national organisation undergoing a major data and analytics uplift, and they’re looking for a Data Scientist to join on a high-impact contract.

This is an opportunity to work on real-world AI/ML use cases at scale, helping drive smarter decision-making through advanced analytics and data products.

The Role

You’ll be working across the full data science lifecycle, from problem definition through to building and deploying models into production.

This is a hands-on role with strong collaboration across product, engineering, and business teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems
• Develop scalable, production-ready analytics solutions
• Work closely with data engineers and product teams in an agile environment
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Contribute to best practices and uplift data science capability

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years experience in a Data Scientist or ML-focused role
• Strong Python (or R) and SQL skills
• Experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy
• Exposure to deploying models into production environments
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Strong communication skills, able to engage with non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Data visualisation experience
• Exposure to data products or self-service analytics
• Experience working in cross-functional or product-led teams
