WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

We are looking for a Data Steward to strengthen our existing team. This role sits within the Financial Crime Risk Management Department, Risk Analysis & Advisory Unit, supporting a strategic migration project in the anti-financial crime (AML/KYC) area. You will join a cross-functional Agile team of around 12 professionals, including a Product Owner, Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Risk Officers.

DO YOU HAVE...

🌟 3+ years of experience as a Data Steward or in a similar data-focused role.

🌟 Hands-on experience in the anti-financial crime domain (AML/KYC, financial crime risk).

🌟 Experience working in risk-related, advisory, or regulated environments.

🌟 Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality management principles.

🌟 Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.

🌟 Hands-on experience with SQL and Excel.

🌟 Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.

🌟 Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.

🌟 Good English language skills.

NICE TO HAVE...

✨ Experience supporting data migration or transformation projects.
