Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you design, build, and operate customer-specific implementations of the Sovereign Cloud and contribute to the ongoing development of the SC platform itself.

You deliver secure, resilient, and compliant OpenShift platforms, translating customer requirements into automated configurations, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, ensuring stable and reliable production environments.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, deploy, and manage customer-specific OpenShift clusters and platform components.

· Contribute to the ongoing design and development of the Sovereign Cloud platform.

· Automate provisioning, configuration, releases, and lifecycle management using CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).

· Develop and maintain automation, pipelines, and platform integrations in Golang.

· Manage upgrades, patching, scaling, and certificates while embedding security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices.

· Troubleshoot complex issues across platform, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and networking layers.

· Collaborate with platform, automation, security, and customer teams to maintain operational standards and reliability.

· Create and maintain operational documentation and enable customer handover.

Skills & Experience

· Strong hands-on experience with enterprise Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms and production-grade cloud-native environments.

· Expertise in Golang, CI/CD, GitOps, and automation tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, Tekton).

· Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management (Terraform).

· Knowledge of Linux, containers, networking (L3–L7), storage, and platform security.

· Ability to integrate security, compliance, and quality controls into automated pipelines.

· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Additional Qualifications

· Experience in regulated or sovereign environments (government, defense, public sector).

· Ability to design reusable automation patterns and self-service workflows.

· Relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or automation.

· Relevant certifications (Red Hat, Kubernetes, Cloud, DevOps) are a plus.
