DevOps Engineer

Location: Madrid or Malaga (2-3 Days Onsite Per Week)

Salary: Up to €65,000

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to support with ongoing project work. You’ll be responsible for operating and automating database systems running on Kubernetes. This is a practical, infrastructure-focused engineering role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deploy and operate database clusters on Kubernetes using operators such as CloudNativePG, ECK, or similar technologies
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents across multiple database systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Elasticsearch
• Develop and maintain clear operational documentation and runbooks for database management processes
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring, alerting, and secure access control for database environments

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles with responsibility for production systems.
• Strong Kubernetes background, including running production workloads and understanding StatefulSets, persistent volumes, operators, and stateful application behaviour.
• Proven experience deploying databases on Kubernetes using Helm or operators, with knowledge of storage, backups, failover, and data durability across systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Solid automation and platform skills, including tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm, plus familiarity with Linux system administration, CI/CD or GitOps tools
• English (Written & Spoken)
