About the role

We are currently hiring a Senior Associate. You will be at the center of the investment process, working closely with senior investors to source, evaluate, and execute high-impact Web3 deals globally.

You will engage directly with top founders, gain exposure to proprietary opportunities, and play a meaningful role in shaping investment decisions while building your trajectory toward a long-term career in venture investing.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and evaluate early-stage and growth-stage investment opportunities across the global crypto and blockchain ecosystem.
• Build strong relationships with founders, funds, incubators, and ecosystem partners to generate proprietary deal flow.
• Conduct thematic research on emerging sectors in the ecosystem.
• Perform financial modeling, tokenomics analysis, market sizing, and competitive landscape reviews.
• Conduct technical, product, and business model assessments of blockchain startups.
• Prepare internal investment memos, IC materials, and strategic analyses to support investment decisions.
• Support the structuring and execution of equity and token investments, including SAFTs, SAFEs, and token allocation agreements.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and key on-chain metrics.
• Track market trends and portfolio developments to inform investment strategy.
• Support Gate Ventures’ broader ecosystem initiatives including partnerships with VCs, accelerators, and strategic investors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate development, with 2+ years experience working at a crypto fund.
• Solid experience in evaluating or investing in web3 companies.
• Solid understanding of tokenomics, blockchain infrastructure, and crypto market dynamics.
• Strong financial modeling and investment analysis skills.
• Ability to perform structured research and develop investment theses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing investment memos and presentations.
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics tools, token data platforms, and crypto research frameworks.
• Strong global network within the Web3 founder or investor ecosystem.
