This young, founder-led start-up are seeking an experienced iOS/MacOS Engineer to help build their macOS app.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced iOS/MacOS Engineer to take the next step into a challenging position with a company offering significant growth potential.
About the Company:
Founded over 5 years ago, they are trying to build the operating system for an industry of people.
They have raised over $20m in funding so far, with the most recent round being Series A.
Their product has reached more than 100,000 people.
They launched publicly on the App Store in 2023.
The two co-founders are very passionate and knowledgeable about the space they are in, and they are trying (and so far succeeding) in making a real impact.
About the iOS/MacOS Engineer Vacancy:
As an early engineer, you will be a key player in setting the technical foundations for their iOS and macOS codebase.
You will also have the exciting opportunity to enable local execution of cutting-edge music AI models on the Mac, unlocking powerful on-device capabilities for their users.
What you will achieve:
• Work with a team of engineers and cross-functional partners to design, develop, and maintain existing and add new features to their macOS application (and iOS)
• Utilize new technologies to run AI models locally on the Mac
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Lead and improve engineering processes, like maintaining code quality, testing, organization, and automation
Ideal Requirements for the iOS/MacOS Engineer Vacancy:
• Several years of professional experience in iOS development
• Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
• Proficiency in connecting iOS applications to back-end services
• Strong understanding of iOS frameworks, best practices, and design patterns
• Strong knowledge of the complete mobile development lifecycle
• Experience working at start-ups and small engineering teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for crafting well-architected, high-quality software
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Bonus points
• Experience with Core Data, Core Animation, and other Apple frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Knowledge of UI/UX standards and guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning
• Outsized love for music
