Position Title: Strategic Project Manager – Business Excellence

Location: Remote (with occasional travel 2 weeks a month at Chattanooga, TN)

Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Role

The Project Manager for Business Excellence will play a critical role in driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. This position focuses on ensuring seamless project execution, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and leading change management efforts to enhance the organization’s business model and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead project planning sessions, including task delegation and resource coordination.
  • Track and manage project progress, adapting as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, site General Managers, and Client Vice Presidents to align Business Excellence activities with organizational goals.
  • Establish and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and create detailed reports for executive leadership.
  • Continuously optimize processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Change Management:

  • Manage change initiatives related to business models, processes, and enhancements.
  • Foster adoption of new processes and tools by guiding teams through the transition.

Business Reporting:

  • Identify and define critical business metrics to support strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the creation, prioritization, and maintenance of essential business reports.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and monitor performance.
  • Ensure standardization and efficiency in reporting processes across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 10 years in project management, with a strong track record of leading enterprise-wide initiatives. Oracle implementation experience is a plus.
  • Organizational Excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and analytical approach to identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive results, and manage stakeholder expectations.
