Full Stack Developer (.NET / C# / SQL)

Position Description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office (81 Bay Street, Toronto) at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

What You'll Be Doing

Join CIBC's Capital Markets Technology Regulatory Reporting Services (RRS) Product Intake team as a Full-Stack Developer. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing robust solutions across our enterprise technology stack. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, architecting end-to-end solutions, and ensuring seamless system integration and performance.

You will:

• Lead the development and implementation of scalable, maintainable solutions across both backend and frontend components.
• Work closely with business and technology partners to analyze requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Debug, test, and optimize applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the integration and enhancement of cross-functional, multi-platform systems.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for continuous improvement.
• Leverage your experience in AI, React, and our enterprise technology stack to enhance solution capabilities.
• Apply your expertise in Azure cloud development and DevOps practices to deliver modern, resilient solutions.
  
  

How You'll Succeed

• Full-Stack Development: Expertise in backend and frontend technologies within an enterprise environment (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL, RESTful APIs, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React).
• Solution Architecture: Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Debugging & Testing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently using modern debugging and testing tools.
• Collaboration & Communication: Engage with stakeholders, analysts, and team members to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Embrace new technologies and methodologies to enhance existing systems and processes.
• AI & Automation: Experience with AI/ML frameworks, agentic AI tools, or process automation technologies.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud development, DevOps practices, and related tools.
• Additional Technologies: Proficiency with SQL Server, PowerShell, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, .NET Core, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Unit Testing, Elastic Search, and SOLID design principles.
• Agile Methodologies: Practical experience working in Agile environments.
  
  

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience with C# / .NET development, including hands-on Test Driven Development (TDD, ATDD, or BDD).
• Strong skills in .NET, C#, SQL Server, PowerShell, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, .NET Core, Microservices, RESTful API development, and Unit Testing.
• Experience with React or similar modern UI frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks or agentic AI tools.
• Experience with Azure cloud development and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Elastic Search and SOLID design principles.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
