Data Scientist
IntePros is looking for a Data Scientist to work with our Premier client based out of Washington to support effective decision-making through economic, financial, and market analysis of critical issues, including capacity planning, price and cost modeling, and return on investment. This role will be responsible for supporting capacity forecasting, budgeting, and reporting efforts for operating expenses, capital, and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
IntePros is looking for a Data Scientist to work with our Premier client based out of Washington to support effective decision-making through economic, financial, and market analysis of critical issues, including capacity planning, price and cost modeling, and return on investment. This role will be responsible for supporting capacity forecasting, budgeting, and reporting efforts for operating expenses, capital, and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis to support decision-making, focusing on capacity planning, price and cost modeling, and ROI assessments.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for operating expenses, capital allocation, and resource planning.
- Design and build systems and tools to manage and analyze large data sets, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Create and refine forecasting models using large-scale data, providing insights to drive business decisions and customer-focused strategies.
- Work closely with other data scientists, participating in daily stand-ups and sprint planning, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
- Effectively prioritize tasks, manage time, and address ad-hoc analysis requests from stakeholders, ensuring that urgent issues are handled efficiently.
- 2-3 years of Data Science Experience
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field. A graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) and 2-3 years of capacity experience.
- Strong analytic skills and a demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
- Direct experience in operations or capacity planning a plus.
- Fluency in standard software including MS Excel. Knowledge of SQL is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Successful characteristics for the position are the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.
