Cybersecurity Engineer – Permanent – Hollywood, FL – $125,000-135,000

Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Hollywood, FL.

Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with strong enterprise security experience to support and operate critical security platforms across a complex, infrastructure environment. This role is hands on and technical, focused on firewall management, threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and control implementation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including policy management, rule reviews, and optimization.
• Manage firewalls using Palo Alto Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager.
• Support endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR), using Microsoft Defender or Palo Alto Cortex XDR.
• Assist with incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Execute vulnerability management processes, including scanning support, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Support email security operations using Proofpoint.
• Partner with IT, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure security controls are implemented and operating effectively.
• Work within established security frameworks and compliance requirements common to government or public infrastructure environments.

Skills & Requirements

• Hands on Palo Alto firewall experience (policy management, rule tuning, Panorama; Strata Cloud Manager strongly preferred)
• Enterprise vulnerability management experience (scanning, remediation coordination, reporting)
• EDR/XDR experience, specifically Microsoft Defender and/or Palo Alto Cortex XDR
• Strong understanding of security controls in large or regulated environments
• Background supporting public sector, government, or complex infrastructure environments
