This is a senior, hands‑on Java full‑stack role focused on complex, data‑heavy systems that directly support listed products, derivatives and cash equity workflows across global markets.

Team profile:
You will join the Securities Reference Data (SRD) Technology team within Institutional Securities Technology.
The team is responsible for maintaining and distributing exchange‑listed product and pricing reference data, working with major vendors and over 100 global exchanges.
SRD platforms service millions of financial instruments and play a critical role across trading, settlements, finance and regulatory reporting.
You will:
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise‑scale, real‑time data systems and services
- Build user‑facing, fast‑paced applications in Java, Angular and Python
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and end‑to‑end solutions
- Take technical ownership of services from design through implementation and production support within a mature SDLC framework
- Design and evolve enterprise‑wide data models and interfaces enabling high‑volume reference data distribution
- Implement appropriate caching and messaging technologies
- Work on Listed Derivatives and Cash Equity flows, supporting front‑to‑back processing across the firm
- Collaborate closely with users, business analysts and global technology partners
- Manage and contribute to multiple initiatives in parallel within a global agile setup
You have:
- Strong experience in Java application development (Java/J2EE as core technologies)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and data‑intensive platforms
- Experience working across all layers of an enterprise solution:
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- Batch processing
- Application servers and services
- A good grasp of SDLC methodologies (Agile, iterative development)
- Experience building and sustaining complex, long‑lived IT applications
- Strong analytical skills, proactive mindset and the ability to solve non‑trivial technical challenges
- Confidence to clearly present, explain and defend technical ideas
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Science / Engineering)
Tech skills:
- Java (primary), Python (nice to have)
- Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Microservices‑based architectures
- MongoDB, Sybase / DB2
- UNIX / scripting experience
- Spark, Kafka (nice to have)
- Exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP (nice to have)
