Job Title: Developer – Android

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to support the development and enhancement of digital retail banking applications. The role involves building reliable and secure Android applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java

Assist in implementing new features and improving existing mobile banking apps

Work closely with senior developers, QA, and backend teams

Perform unit testing and support application debugging

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives

Follow secure coding and mobile development best practices

Required Skills:

1-3 years of relevant experience

Hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin and Java

Understanding of Android SDK, UI components, and app lifecycle

Basic knowledge of Oracle databases

Familiarity with Unix-based operating systems (HPUX, Linux, Solaris)

Willingness to learn and work in a Digital Banking environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with build and dependency tools such as Gradle and Maven

Exposure to Firebase and Fastlane

Knowledge of CI/CD for mobile build and deployment

Understanding of DevOps concepts and Agile practices

Prior exposure to Digital Banking platforms
