Unity Gameplay Engineer - Vehicle & Driving Games

Appsoleut Games is a passion driven, fast growing mobile gaming studio based out of Gurgaon, India. Our MISSION is to soon become a leader in the mobile gaming industry, internationally. We develop vehicle-based games in the simulation, driving and racing genre. Our games have done us proud by consistently staying in the Top 30 games in the Racing category in USA and beating (momentarily!) Nintendo Mario Kart in Japan! We are a fun-loving, open-minded company and encourage our team to have a voice. Now we’re looking for a data-driven Unity Gameplay Engineer- Vehicle & Driving Games who will take ownership of ad revenue performance across our game portfolio.

Technical Skills (Required)

• Strong proficiency in Unity (C#) with 3+ years of hands-on experience
• Deep understanding of Unity WheelCollider, Rigidbody, and PhysX pipeline
• Experience tuning suspension, friction curves, centre of mass, torque, and braking feel
• Ability to build and iterate on vehicle handling models from scratch
• Familiarity with fixed timestep physics, collision mesh optimization, and mobile performance constraints

Technical Skills (Good to Have)

• Exposure to third-party vehicle physics solutions - Edy's Vehicle Physics, Vehicle Physics Pro, or NWH Vehicle Physics
• Experience with motorbike or two-wheeler physics (lean, balance, gyroscopic simulation)
• Knowledge of LOD physics and simplified collider strategies for low-end devices
• Familiarity with Photon or other multiplayer SDKs for syncing vehicle state
• Understanding of gear systems, engine torque curves, and drivetrain simulation

Soft Skills / Mindset

• Passionate about driving games as a player - has an opinion on what makes a car feel good
• Iterative thinker - comfortable tuning parameters, playtesting, and tuning again
• Can articulate the difference between realistic and fun vehicle physics
• Self-driven with ability to own the vehicle feel end-to-end
