Senior Network Engineer – Cisco SDN / Datacenter (ACI)

Overview

We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer with deep experience in Cisco Software Defined Networking, specifically Cisco ACI, to design, operate and optimize enterprise scale datacenter network environments.

This role focuses on Cisco based SDN architecture, network virtualization, segmentation and high availability. You will work closely with architecture, security and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable and policy driven datacenter networks, while contributing to modernization and automation initiatives.

This is a hands on senior level role with strong exposure to architecture, design and enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage Cisco SDN infrastructure across datacenter environments
• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Cisco ACI, controllers, switches and routers
• Design and manage spine leaf datacenter fabric architectures
• Implement network segmentation, policy enforcement and microsegmentation
• Manage network virtualization and overlay technologies such as VXLAN
• Ensure high availability, performance and resilience of mission critical networks
• Perform network monitoring, health checks, capacity planning and optimization
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate network security policies and controls
• Support and contribute to network automation and modernization initiatives
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis and problem resolution
• Maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for upgrades, lifecycle and maintenance
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers

Required Skills and Experience

• 5 to 7 or more years of experience in datacenter networking
• Strong hands on experience with Cisco SDN technologies
• Proven experience with Cisco ACI in production environments
• Solid knowledge of Cisco switching, routing and datacenter fabric design
• Experience with network virtualization and overlay networks
• Strong understanding of segmentation, security policies and compliance
• Experience supporting highly available, enterprise scale networks
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to network automation, APIs or infrastructure as code
• Experience working in large enterprise or multi datacenter environments
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Data Center or CCIE Data Center
