Scrum Master

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and facilitate Agile delivery across a large and complex programme of work.

This role will be responsible for driving Agile practices, ceremonies, and continuous improvement, while blending Agile methodologies with PRINCE2 delivery principles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient sprint delivery, optimise processes, and support high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an Agile delivery framework, including processes, tools, and best practices
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
• Coach and mentor teams to improve Agile maturity and delivery capability
• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine backlogs, prioritise user stories, and support sprint planning
• Identify and remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth delivery
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability
• Support effective stakeholder communication and alignment across delivery teams
• Assist teams in managing changing requirements and delivery complexities
• Monitor progress and provide insights to improve team performance and outcomes

Highly Desirable Criteria

• Experience working across both public and private sector environments
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and delivery practices in large enterprises
• Proven ability to coach and uplift team capability and Agile maturity
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery
• Familiarity with software development and release processes

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with PRINCE2 methodologies
• Exposure to Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Master, Agile certifications)
