IP Network Engineer – Munich, Germany

We are working with a leading Internet Service Provider based in Munich who are looking to hire an experienced IP Network Engineer to join their growing Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performance network environment, supporting critical infrastructure and contributing to the reliability of a large-scale ISP network.

As an IP Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the core network infrastructure. This role sits within the operations function and focuses on 3rd line support, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring high availability across the network.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line operational support for IP network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and outages
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime
• Work closely with internal teams to improve network reliability and efficiency
• Support ongoing network improvements and upgrades

Skills/Must have

• German language skills (minimum B level)
• Strong IP networking background
• IP Routing - MPLS, BGP, OSPF
• Experience in operational engineering / 3rd line support

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Juniper or Nokia networking technologies
• Knowledge of firewalling (Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto), network automation (Python, Ansible, Bash), or DDoS mitigation
