Cyber Security Engineer

eir business talent have partnered with a client in the North of Dublin, we're looking for Cyber Operations Engineer is required to support and enhance the effectiveness of enterprise cyber security controls within a complex technology environment. This role focuses on optimising security tooling, improving detection quality, and strengthening defensive controls based on real‑world threat activity.

Working closely with security operations, engineering, and IT teams, you will help ensure security platforms are well‑configured, governed appropriately, and delivering measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimise and maintain cyber security tooling across endpoint, identity, cloud, email, and network security domains
• Improve detection quality, reduce false positives, and align controls with real attack techniques
• Identify control gaps and implement configuration or policy improvements
• Support security standards, documentation, audits, and tooling roll‑outs

Required Experience

• 4+ years’ hands‑on experience in cyber security or related IT roles
• Strong experience configuring and tuning enterprise‑scale security controls
• Background working with security operations and technology teams
• Solid understanding of how modern security controls perform in live environments
• Relevant cyber security certifications or equivalent experience
