Data Scientist

We are looking for the Data Scientist to join our Ecofinance team within Dyninno Group fintech division.

Ecofinance is a fast-growing fintech delivering accessible B2C financial services worldwide as a part of Dyninno Group. Through brands like Creditprime and Honey Loan, we offer short-term loans, instalment loans and lines of credit via our online platform. With over 5 million clients across Romania, Moldova and the Philippines, EcoFinance ranks among the top ten microfinance providers by loan volume.

As the Data Scientist you will strengthen data-driven decision-making, contribute across the full modelling lifecycle, from model design and data preparation to model development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance in production. You will have the opportunity to influence both model performance and business decisions by applying your analytical expertise and modelling skills to real business challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Work with internal and external data sources, including data collection, preparation, and analysis.
• Build analytical solutions to support risk management and decision-making.
• Assess new data sources and evaluate their value and feasibility for integration into scoring models.
• Develop, validate, and maintain credit risk and other predictive models using Python.
• Support deployment and implementation of models in production systems.
• Participate in risk policy optimization to maximize the business value of risk models.
• Monitor model performance and stability and propose improvements when needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to explain analytical solutions and ensure effective implementation of operational systems.
• Contribute to model deployment processes via API-based solutions.
• Contribute to the development and use of shared modelling and analytical tools, including common code libraries.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in developing, validating, implementing, and maintaining scoring models or other predictive models.
• Higher education in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate analytical solutions clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to shared tools, code libraries, and team-wide analytical practices.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
• Experience with API-based model integration and related MLOps practices will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in the financial industry, especially in consumer lending, credit risk, or microfinance, will be considered an advantage.

We don't want to set limits, but if we are naming the numbers, then the range for this position is from 3300 EUR gross up to 4300 EUR gross per month depending on the applicant's professional experience in the relevant field.
