System Engineer

For a fast-growing company based in Ljubljana, operating on international markets, we are looking for an experienced System Engineer/IT Administrator who will ensure the stable and secure operation of an IT environment supporting approximately 60 users.

The company specializes in the design and production of industrial lines.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the company’s IT environment
• Maintain availability, security, and optimal performance of IT systems
• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure (servers, networks, security systems)
• Plan procurement of IT hardware/software and oversee implementation
• Manage software licenses and ensure compliance
• Collaborate with external IT vendors, partners, and service providers
• Coordinate and supervise outsourced IT services
• Administer Active Directory (user accounts, permissions, access)
• Manage Microsoft environment (Microsoft 365, Exchange on-premises)
• Support the introduction and use of AI solutions within the company
• Perform other IT-related tasks as required by business needs

Requirements

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, security systems)
• Familiarity with ZInfV-1 legislation and NIS2 guidelines is an advantage
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux administration
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365, Exchange)
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Understanding of information security principles
• Knowledge of software licensing models
• Experience working with IT vendors and managing IT assets
• Understanding and practical use of AI in business environments
• Nice to have: virtualization (VMware, Proxmox) or cloud (Azure, AWS)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Fluent in English
• Category B driving license
