Job Overview

Jio is seeking a talented Android Developer to join our team in Navi Mumbai. As a mid-level position, candidates are expected to bring 4 to 6 years of experience in Android development. The role involves working with cutting-edge technology to build and enhance Jio's diverse range of digital services, contributing to an ecosystem that supports millions of users.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Proficiency in Java for Android development is mandatory for creating efficient applications.
  • Experience with Android SDK is a must for building robust mobile applications. (Mandatory skill)
  • Understanding of UI/UX Design to enhance customer engagement on Android platforms. (Mandatory skill)
  • Strong expertise in Kotlin for writing modern and efficient Android code.
  • Experience with Firebase for real-time database, authentication, and cloud messaging features.
  • Proficient in utilizing RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Competency in SQLite for implementing local data storage solutions within Android apps.
  • Skilled in using Git for version control, ensuring seamless collaboration and code management.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features continuously.
  • Work with external APIs and data sources, integrating them into mobile applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
