As an Applied AI Engineer in PwC Assurance Services, you will design and build end‑to‑end AI-powered systems that enhance our internal operations and support our client services. This role goes beyond prompt engineering and focuses on developing LLM-based architectures, backend components, and scalable, production-ready AI applications.

You will collaborate with our assurance and audit teams to deliver AI tools that improve efficiency and risk management through Python-based development, LLM frameworks, multi-agent systems, and data integrations.

As a technical lead, you will guide system architecture, technology choices, and development standards to ensure high-quality, reliable engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering or related technical roles

- Advanced Python software development experience

- Experience building LLM-based applications

- Practical knowledge of agentic AI / multi-agent systems

- Prompt engineering experience

- API development and integrations

- Experience with modern development workflows (Git, version control, etc.)

- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures

- Structured output design (JSON schemas, typed outputs)

- LLM evaluation and validation techniques

- Data processing and document analysis pipelines

- Experience building AI-powered applications is preferred

• Improve accuracy and reliability of model outputs
• Enforce structured formats (e.g., JSON schemas)
• Implement multi-step reasoning and validation flows
• Monitor system and output quality

Technical Leadership

• Set development standards and coding practices
• Provide technical direction in AI development
• Lead the design of new AI tools and solutions
