Fullstack Software Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile Fullstack Developer to join our clients team in Toronto for a high-impact contract engagement. In this role, you will bridge the gap between sophisticated backend architecture and intuitive user interfaces. This person will have a strong Fullstack development background – working with Javascript, React, Typescript, NodeJS, Python etc.

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Architecture

• End-to-End Delivery: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web and desktop applications, ensuring seamless integration between client-side and server-side systems.
• UI/UX Excellence: Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces using modern frameworks
• Backend Services: Design and implement scalable, secure APIs and services using Node.js and Python, tailored to specific project requirements.

Data & Integration

• Enterprise Connectivity: Integrate backend systems into broader enterprise ecosystems via REST APIs, event-driven services, and secure messaging systems.
• Security & Auth: Manage complex integrations with third-party APIs, OAuth, and OpenID Connect authentication systems.

DevOps & Quality Assurance

• Cloud & Deployment: Support containerized deployments using Docker and orchestrated environments like Kubernetes.
• Automated Testing: Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and API-level tests to ensure the robustness of digital workflows and system integrity.

AI Assistant Coding experience:

Proven experience leveraging AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot/Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor) to accelerate development cycles, optimize refactoring, and maintain high standards for code documentation.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

Core Stack

• Frontend: Expert-level proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Node.js).
• Backend: Strong experience in Python and Java.
• Databases: Experience with both relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB/Redis) systems.

Infrastructure & Tools

• DevOps: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Security: Deep understanding of identity protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect).
• Testing: Proven track record of implementing automated testing suites.
