Roles Description: -

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 2 Analyst to join our SOC Incident Management & Threat Hunting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, particularly with Google SecOps tools, and will be responsible for providing advanced incident analysis, managing escalations, and assisting with threat hunting activities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform advanced analysis of the results from monitoring solutions, assess escalated outputs, and alerts from Level 1 Analysts to determine potential security incidents.
• Escalate potential security incidents to the Incident Response (IR) team or client personnel based on thorough investigation and root cause analysis.
• Conduct threat hunting to identify new patterns, activities, and potential threats to the organization, and provide insights and recommendations to enhance overall security posture.
• Advise on the development and testing of new Use case for monitoring solutions to enhance detection capabilities.
• Provide end-to-end event analysis, incident detection, and manage escalations using documented procedures to ensure timely and effective incident response.
• Devise and document new procedures, runbooks, and playbooks as directed to streamline SOC operations and incident management processes.

Requirement:

• 3-6 years of experience in SOC operations, incident management, and threat hunting.
• Hands-on experience with Google SecOps tools (e.g., Chronicle, Google Cloud Security Command Center).
• Strong understanding of security monitoring, event analysis, and incident detection techniques.
• Experience in supporting Detection Engineering team in writing complex detection rules and automation playbooks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document procedures and communicate with the IR team and client personnel.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Level 1 Analysts, the IR team, and the Threat Hunting team.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline
• Professional Certifications such as SANS will be preferred. Google Cloud Certification is an advantage.
