React Developer

Join us as a React Developer at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will have a strong foundation in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and backend integration, along with hands-on experience in AWS deployment environments, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and version control using GitLab. You will be responsible for building scalable web and mobile applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

To be successful as a React Developer, you should have:

Experience in React.js and React Native development.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
Experience with backend integration using REST APIs and JSON.
Familiarity with AWS services and deployment strategies.
Develop and maintain responsive web and mobile applications using React and React Native.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services efficiently.
Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
Manage deployments in AWS environments including EC2, S3.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage source code using GitLab.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD and GitLab for version control.

This role will be based in Pune location.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
