About The Role

Our OEM client based in Gaydon is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI & Animation Designer (Production) to join their talented team on a contract basis, inside IR35. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most desirable automotive brands globally, contributing to the development of innovative in-vehicle user interfaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating creative concepts into pixel-perfect UI components, ensuring visual quality and adherence to complex HMI specifications. Collaborating closely with UX and UI teams, you will act as a champion for design excellence, promoting best practices and elevating the visual storytelling of automotive interfaces. This position is initially contracted until 31st March 2027, with a competitive umbrella pay rate of £33.64 per hour.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UI and animation design within the automotive or digital interface sectors. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects is essential. Candidates should have experience working with design systems, contributing to their evolution, and maintaining consistency across various projects. A solid understanding of user experience principles, brand guidelines, and design systems is required, along with excellent attention to detail. A portfolio demonstrating previous work in UI animation, complex visualizations, and pixel-perfect design is highly desirable. Candidates should also have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and realize creative intent by designing UI components that align with brand vision and technical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with UX and UI teams to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into functional prototypes and final products.
• Maintain high visual quality by adhering to complex HMI specifications and ensuring pixel-perfect execution.
• Act as the UI champion by promoting best practices, design consistency, and educating team members on UI standards and principles.
• Bring visuals to life through animation, ensuring engaging and intuitive user experiences that enhance brand storytelling.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of design systems, ensuring scalability and consistency across projects.
• Review and provide feedback on design assets to ensure alignment with project goals and quality standards.
